MetLife provides several different dental plans; it is important that you take time to learn about the unique benefits that come with your policy. In the meantime, here is some general information about the coverage that often comes with PPO insurance plans:

• Most plans provide 100% coverage for preventive care. This usually applies to services like cleanings, checkups, routine X-rays, and more.
• Up to 80% coverage is common for minor services, which often includes fillings and non-surgical tooth extractions.
• Many plans provide 50% coverage for major services, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures.

Your plan may also come with other stipulations and fees. For example, most PPO plans have a deductible as well as a waiting period before you are eligible for certain types of coverage. You are also likely to have an annual maximum, which is a yearly limit that MetLife places on your benefits.

Because we are an in-network MetLife provider, you may be able to get more value out of your plan when you visit us, rather than an out-of-network dentist. That is because we have a contract that manages fees, so your annual maximum may stretch a bit further. In some cases, we can even schedule major treatments across calendar years so you can take advantage of two maximums instead of just one.
