Dr. Kern believes that there is a reason that the practice of dentistry is called a practice: a practitioner never “reaches the finish line” and their education is always ongoing. New dental technology and research emerges every day, and it is important for her to stay informed and continue to learn in order to provide her patients with the best care possible.

She believes that prevention is the best way to control both disease and the impact of pain or dysfunction in our lives. Regular visits are critical to ensure that problems can be noted earlier and treated with less invasive techniques.

She focuses on patient education, prevention, and high-quality care, while ensuring the comfort of her patients. She believes in forming a strong collaborative relationship with each patient to understand their needs and help them achieve excellent oral health. She also understands that visiting the dentist may be a stressful experience for some and work to ensure her patients are at ease, while attaining a healthy and beautiful smile.

Dr. Kern recently returned to her home state of Connecticut after spending 10 years in Boston, and is thrilled to be back. She enjoys exploring new experiences in the area, including trying new restaurants, hiking, and gardening. She is an avid chef and baker, and has recently started learning to play golf with her husband, though she still has much to learn!
